ATLANTA (AP) - Umpire Ed Montague was sick and missed Wednesday night's game between the Atlanta Braves and St. Louis Cardinals.
Braves spokesman Brad Hainje said the report from the umpires was that Montague was "under the weather."Jerry Layne assumed Montague's scheduled assignment as the home plate umpire. Chris Tiller, the fill-in umpire on the crew, was the third base umpire.
