Cardinals scratch Lohse from Sunday start
WASHINGTON (AP) - The St. Louis Cardinals have scratched right-hander Kyle Lohse from Sunday's scheduled start against the Washington Nationals because of wet weather.

In his place, right-hander Kyle McClellan is scheduled to make his first major league start.

Lohse is 3-0 with a 1.97 ERA in five starts, but was pulled from the assignment because of persistent rain throughout the Washington, D.C., area.

McClellan has never pitched more than three innings in any of his 78 relief appearances over the past two seasons.
